Bag of Crumbs is here! I first want to thank everyone who was involved in the creation of my debut EP. To Riley Lamarre, who, despite never having met in person, provided 5 beats that immediately spoke to me. Shoutout to Twitter, man! To MOWRI, my friend-gineer who recorded, mixed, and mastered all 5 songs. To my fiancée, who has supported me 110% since I told her I wanted to release music and gifted me studio time for my 28th birthday. To the many friends who both gas me up and push me to be better. To my dad, who eagerly awaits my new songs and listens with a caring yet critical ear. To my brother, who, sometimes at a moments notice, brings my music and ideas to life with his artwork. To my mom, who unintentionally gave this project its title, and who served and continues to serve as my most unwavering inspiration. I’m so thankful that my mom was able to hear the majority of this EP before she passed away in late March. This isn’t an anecdote that I thought I would share with the world, but hey, since I’ve gotten this far, here it goes. Somewhere around the halfway point of hearing an earlier version of “Weird Science”, my mom began to cry. My immediate reaction was to cut the song off but she insisted on hearing the rest of the song. To push through and persist when things get difficult, sometimes impossibly so, is one of the most invaluable lessons that my mom has ever taught me. To do so with grace, patience, and positivity is an art that I am still working on. Bag of Crumbs is just a sample of what is yet to come. By the time you read this paragraph and hear these songs, the next project will already have been in motion for some months. Thank you for listening, purchasing, and sharing!
